Quicky to Langley

Monday night I decided to head to Langley to visit my parents and go to the temple. My friend Jessica came with us. I think every family should have a photographer on their trips. I'll actually be in some of these shots.

We took a break in Hope to have ice cream and stretch our legs. It was a glorious 30 degrees.

We went to White Rock beach and had so much fun with Grandpa and Grandma Burnham.

Edwin practiced his drop kick.

We had a rousing soccer game.

Greta dragged Grandpa around.

Joseph tried to build a dyke to keep the tide out. The tide won.

Greta was adorable.

Edwin tried skim-boarding...

And found a perfect sand dollar.

The kids and their cousins dug for clams to feed the seagulls.

The best (and cutest) Grandma in the world!!!

Soaked up the sun.

We couldn't have picked a better time for our last minute trip. Thank you mom and dad for letting us stay with you. Thank you Tracy for meeting up with us at the beach. Thank you Jessica for the perfect photos.

Canada Day

We had some friends over to celebrate Canada Day!

We invited some other friends to come and eat them.

Nothing like a crab boil to make you feel festive.

Happy Canada Day!

1/2 marathon

Last weekend I ran my second 1/2! I seriously love this distance. It's a fun and challenging enough -but doesn't wipe you out- run. I'll write more later but here are some official pics from the race.

Father's Day Cake

In honour of Father's day and Ryan new bike we decided to make a cake related to that theme.
I created the back drop and the boys positioned all the characters.

That's Ryan in the ditch with a "paramedic" over him. The two characters sitting down watching are Edwin and Joseph. The figurine on the bike at the top of the hill is Ryan's friend Jeff who is teaching him the ropes.

I thought the kids did a brilliant job. They washed all the figures and planned out exactly what they wanted to do before hand. I thought it turned out really well. It was almost too cute to eat.

Joseph gave Ryan a radish he planted and a great card. Edwin gave him a drawing journal he made at school and a card with his hand print on it.

Happy Father's Day

Ryan's been wanting a dirt bike since we moved out here. Happy Father's Day.... for the rest of you life... which will probably shortened considerably due to your new bike. :)

We love you!

Happy Father's Day to my dad and Ryan's dad as well. You are both remarkable men!
