Over the Long Weekend

Happy Canada Day and Independence Day! We had such a great weekend. Ryan went to visit his family in Saskatoon, leaving me alone in the sunny Okanagan all by myself with the kids. SUCH A SACRIFICE! :)

We spent a portion of each day at the beach. Went to two birthday parties. Tie-dyed some t-shirts. Saw the fireworks. Played with friends. Hiked with Auntie Maria. Went out for dinner for Uncle Kent's bday. And just soaked up the beauties of where we live.

Here is a missed photo from when I was in Vancouver 2 weeks ago. This is one of the stores that was vandalized by the riots.

check out Maria's awesome tie dyed shirt...

joseph hates having his picture taken. this is what so many of our photo look like...

OH, SO FUN!!! Cool photo facing into the sun, such a vintage feel. Love the cliff jumping shots. Was your heart in your throat watching them the first time??

Looks like you had a great weekend! Where did you cliff jump?

What? Joe and Edwin are big enough to go cliff jumping without lifejackets?? Even I'm not big enough for that yet. :) I'm so impressed with their courage. I can climb a cliff no problem, but jumping off it is a whole different story.

I've been meaning to tell you... the weekend that ryan was here, my little girl Avery excitedly whispered in my ear "mom! that boy looks just like Flynn Ryder!" (main man off of tangled)

She was so excited. I turn around and of course see your hubby sitting there. Really funny. Then she followed it up that he was handsome. So there you go. Hope you get a kick out of that one :)
