Greta had her friend party today. She requested a "mermaid" theme. I wasn't super excited about doing the "Little Mermaid"... I'm just fussy that way.
So, I hunted the stores in town and amazon.com and found some things I liked and hoped Greta would like too. (thanks again Tracy for being my post office and to mom for bringing the stuff to vernon)
I tried to create a underwater feeling with seaweed and bubbles hanging from the ceiling.
There were fish, shells and other sea life everywhere.
I used nori (sushi seaweed) as place mats. :)
Gift opening mayhem.
More candles to blow out.
My attempt at cake decorating.
Take home "bag'.
How sad for Greta when she wakes up tomorrow and realizes the party's over.

This looks like it was a fantastic birthday party, and the cake looks awesome!! By the way, I love that first picture of Greta. She looks just like her momma with the mischief gleaming in her eyes.
Adorable party Sharon!
I like the nori placemats idea. Very creative.
Looks like tons of fun!
Cute cute party! And your cakes skills are pretty good!
It's Greta's birthday every day, if you don't believe me just ask her.
Hee, hee . . . good one Ryan.
What a great party. I love the seaweed and bubbles, very cute.
... I noticed you switched things up in the dining room. The computer and sofa are in there. I like the table that size too.
I love that you made the theme mermaid instead of The Little Mermaid :) Cute loot bags!! The cake looks great.
